For Vivienne who is currently expanding her dressmaking business in Yorkshire is part of an artistic family whose ancestors include the Cole family (nationally acclaimed landscape painters). Four generations of the Cole family made their mark on the English landscape-painting scene from before Victoria’s coronation to the late 1860’s.

Now Vivienne, who is married with three children, is continuing the artistic family tradition with her beautiful hand made wedding and special occasion wear.

Specialising in silk, Vivienne creates exclusive designs which can feature hand embroidery, painting or beading.

Vivienne’s sister, Suzanne Cartwright (also a graduate of Art College and a trained dress designer), carries out the beautiful hand painting on to the silk fabrics.

Now Vivienne’s family are more grown up, she has opened a new boutique at 236 High Street, Boston Spa which is called SOPHIE LOUISE. Here, a wide range of designer wedding dresses and accessories are available to help the Bride plan her special day. The stock at SOPHIE LOUISE includes such designers as Ritva Westenius, Jenny Packham, Temperley London, Sassi Holford and Donna Salado; we also stock wedding shoes by Rainbow Club, Filippa Scott, Benjamin Adams and Bourne.

Brides, who are looking for something of top quality and with a very personal service, will be pleased to know that it is now available in the Leeds, York, Wetherby and Harrogate area.

Vivienne has thirty years experience in designing special occasion wear. Ten years of which were spent at her fashion boutique in York, which was called Vivienne Mary of Castlegate.
